Action continues to remove illegal religious constructions in Uttarakhand, notice given to temples after tombs, resentment in Sant Samaj

In Uttarakhand, the process of removing illegal religious constructions from government land is going on in full swing. This action is not being taken only on the tombs, but also on the temples. Which have been built illegally on government and forest land. In this episode, the forest department has sent a notice regarding Gaurikund temple of Niranjani Akhara in Haridwar and Panchmukhi Hanuman temple, another temple located on the border of Rajaji Tiger Reserve. In which documents related to the temple have been asked to be shown. Otherwise the temple will be considered as an encroachment. At the same time, a lot of resentment is being seen in the Sant Samaj on receiving the notice from the Forest Department.

Famous priest Shubham Giri says that Haridwar is a religious city. Which is also described in mythological Hindu religious books. There are many places in Haridwar including Har ki Paidi, Daksh Prajapati Temple, Sati Kund and other temples. In which Gaurikund temple is also included. On the other hand, regarding Gaurikund, Niranjani Akhara’s secretary Mahant Ravindra Puri showed the paper and said that he has the registry related to the said property. The map of the year 1912 is also with him. In which a map of Gaurikund along with Bilkeshwar temple has also been made.

At the same time, Mahamandaleshwar Prabodhanand Maharaj of Juna Akhara says that Uttarakhand is a land of gods, where gods reside. If proof of having a temple is sought in their place, then it is condemnable. Which the saint society will not tolerate at all. Along with this, Ravidev Shastri of Yuva Bharat Sadhu Samaj said that the temple for which the forest department has given notice is from ancient times. Which is also described in ancient Hindu Puranas. If action is taken on that, then the Saints of Young Bharat Sadhu Samaj will come forward to protect the temples.

On the other hand, on receiving the notice on the temple, Haridwar MLA Madan Kaushik says that the land for the Panchmukhi Hanuman temple has been taken on lease from the Forest Department. On whose time period is extended, he himself will hold talks with the government and a decision will be taken soon. At the same time, Dhiraj Singh Garbyal, who recently took over as DM, said that the action on encroachment will be started again. Along with this, he also said that the registry will be done only after verification of any outsider who will take land in Haridwar.
