Uttarakhand: Chouhan said – Congress’s all-party protest is like old wine in a new bottle, the government is running many schemes for the benefit of women.
The BJP said that the traditional opponents of the BJP have been horrified by the ongoing development works in the country and the state and the all-party protest by the Congress is nothing more than old wine in a new bottle. State media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan said that everyone is aware of the reality of the Congress which entered the fray in the guise of an all-party, because the recognition of most of these parties has ended long back. He said that the protest of Congress is focused on appeasement which is also natural for it. He said that while action is being taken against the encroachments on the direction of the court and the strong will of the government, the Congress is inciting religious sentiments by terming it as an action against a community. The result of this policy of Congress is that it is shrinking from all over the country and is now becoming a hanger-on of non-existent parties.
He said that the government is running several schemes to strengthen the economic condition of women in the state. For the first time, women have got the benefit of 30 percent horizontal reservation, then women have been given 50 percent reservation in bodies. Several self-employment schemes are being implemented on the ground, including Lakhpati Didi, Ghasiyari Yojana and interest-free loans to women. He said that Ankita is the daughter of the state and her culprits were sent behind bars within 24 hours. On the other hand, after the acquittal of the accused of misbehavior with Pahar’s daughter in Delhi, the government took legal advice for special review and other action on time.
Chouhan said that the Congress leaders have also appreciated the transparent action taken by the government regarding the recruitment scams. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami showed moral courage and took tough decisions without looking at the time frame. Today there is a strong anti-copying law in the state and other states are also enthusiastic about it. Chouhan said that Congress has been doing politics of opposition in every matter, whether it is development work or law and order, and it is not going to benefit it, rather it will have to bear the brunt of the public’s anger.
Let us tell you that today all the opposition parties staged an all-party sit-in protest against the increasing harassment of women in the country and the state, in which the Ankita Bhandari murder case, sexual exploitation of women players, the granddaughter of former PM VP Singh did not register an FIR. Slogans were raised and all-party dharna was held.
