Chhattisgarh / Bilaspur: Report of theft of 20 thousand, 41 lakh recovered, noise created all around, thieves hired thieves, police also surprised by this story of rigging, owner becoming unknown

A shocking incident of theft has come to the fore in Chhattisgarh. The thieves cleaned their hands in the house of a woman contractor of the Forest Department. Then due to the fear of being caught, they hired dummy thieves. Police disclosed the incident in just 24 hours and arrested the accused, but now the matter is stuck in trouble. The special thing is that the woman contractor had registered a case of theft of Rs 20 thousand, but the recovery has been made of Rs 41 lakh 20 thousand and jewelry. Thieves are telling this amount of the woman contractor, whereas she has shied away from it.

Female contractor registered theft of 20 thousand

Actually, the whole matter is related to Mangla of Civil Line Police Station area of Bilaspur. Here Sarojini Sahu, who lives in Abhishek Nagar, is a contractor in the Forest Department. Her husband also works in PWD. Sarojini Sahu filed a report that she had gone to Bubbles Water Park along with her family at around 11 am on May 21. Meanwhile, the neighbor reported the theft in the house. When she reached, she found that the lock of the room was broken and Rs 20,000 kept in the cupboard and jewelery were stolen. On this, the officers formed a joint investigation team of Bilaspur ACCU and police. The team was dispatched to the spot.

Thieves hired one lakh rupees each

When the police checked the CCTV footage installed nearby, three masked men were seen going towards Ratanpur on a blue bullet without number with airbags. On this, the police sent teams in different directions and laid siege near Village Cellar Anicut Road and caught them. During the search, Rs 25 lakh and jewelery were recovered from the bag with the accused. During interrogation, the accused first told about stealing themselves, but on being strictly asked, they told that Shivdeep Tiwari of village Nagpura had asked them to become accused of theft. In return, it was said to give one lakh rupees.

The elder sister got the contractor’s house stolen

The accused told the police that Shivdeep had lured them to bear all the expenses of getting them released from the court. Then took the bullet used in the incident and the money and jewelry in the bag and sent them for roaming in the area. On this, the police searched for master mind Shivdeep Tiwari and took him into custody from village Nagpura. At first he kept denying the incident, then broke down. Told that Sarojini Sahu, who lodged the report, had committed the theft along with Rukminit Sahu, the real elder sister. He had conspired about the theft and had informed about the ornaments and money in the house.

Entered the house on the pretext of drinking water

Accused Shivdeep told the police that Rukmani had told him that her sister Sarojini Sahu works as a contractor in the forest department. Having earned a lot of money, she has kept a huge amount of gold and silver ornaments in the house. After this, a conspiracy of theft was hatched with other people of the village. Under the conspiracy reached his house on May 21 and entered inside by opening the door on the pretext of drinking water. There were two elderly women there. Both of them were gagged and locked in the upstairs room. Then broke into the cupboard downstairs and stole the jewelry and money. Out of the stolen amount, Rs 25 lakh and some jewelery were given to the thieves on rent.

Two absconding accused suspected of having more cash

Police said that Shivdeep himself kept Rs 15 lakh out of the stolen amount. Gave the remaining amount to other comrades. After this, the police arrested two more accused including Sarojini’s sister Rukmani. So far seven accused have been arrested. Gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 3 lakh, Rs 41 lakh 20 thousand have been recovered from them. Police said that two accused are still absconding in this case. Search for him is going on. More cash and jewelry are likely to be recovered from the absconding accused.
