Uttarakhand: The committee constituted for UCC is taking suggestions from all sections of people, the draft is expected to be ready by June 30.

The committee constituted to implement the Uniform Civil Code in Uttarakhand is working on a war footing. The team of members of the committee formed for UCC is taking suggestions from the people after reaching Dehradun. In this series, on Wednesday, after taking suggestions from the commissions, UCC organized a program to take suggestions from the general public to prepare the draft.

Expected to prepare draft by June 30

The committee constituted mainly to prepare the draft of UCC is taking suggestions from all sections of people, so that a better draft can be prepared for UCC. In this sequence, on May 25, a program has been kept for the committee to take suggestions from political parties. The government had given time till May 31 to the constituted committee to prepare the draft. After which this time was extended for one month. In such a situation, time has been fixed till June 30, so that the committee prepares the draft and submits it to the government by June 30.

UCC’s decision will become a model in the coming times

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that UCC is the resolution of the state government. This is the reason that with the formation of the government, it was decided to constitute a committee for UCC and the committee was constituted. Therefore, within a year, the committee has almost completed the work. He said that the decision of UCC will become a model for all in the coming times, because Uttarakhand has started it. In such a situation, it is expected that other states will also move in this direction. At the same time, the committee said that by June 30, the draft will be prepared and handed over to the government.

The formation of the committee was sealed in the first cabinet meeting

Please tell that CM Dhami had approved the formation of a committee for UCC in the first cabinet after the formation of the government. After which CM Dhami had said regarding the Common Civil Code that the work of preparing the draft of UCC is going on on a war footing. The committee formed regarding the Common Civil Code will take suggestions for two days. In this sequence, today the committee is taking suggestions from commissions and people. After this, the committee will also take suggestions from political parties on Thursday. After the final draft is ready, the committee will submit the report to the government. On the previous day, the CM had extended the term of the committee by one month.
