Uttarakhand: The talents gathered in Graphic Era made a clock showing Climate Change, Cabinet Minister Subodh Uniyal praised
Today in Graphic Era Hill University, the very talented little ones surprised everyone by preparing a number of clocks depicting Climate Change with their hands.Chief Guest Subodh Uniyal said on this occasion that Climate Change today is only It is not an issue of India or Uttarakhand but has become global. Dr. Kamal Ghanshala, Chairman of Graphic Era Group of Institutions, said that if we do not become alert early, global warming and climate change will be the biggest threat to humans in the coming times.
Forest and Technical Education Minister Subodh said that the earth’s temperature has increased the most in Uttarakhand in the country. In Uttarakhand, this temperature has increased by 1.17 degrees. Although 72 percent of the land in Uttarakhand is forest. He also inaugurated the climate clock prepared by school children.
The children of 49 schools in Dehradun assembled the digital climate clock efficiently. Tiny hands completed this seemingly complicated task in a matter of hours and produced 49 beautiful climate clocks under the guidance of Professor Chetan Singh Solanki of IIT Bombay, known as the Solar Man of India – the master of techniques. Subodh said that efforts should be made by everyone and at every level to prevent climate change. Forests can prove to be the biggest weapon to fight this battle.
He said that melting of glaciers, landslides, cyclones, deforestation, falling ground water level, forest fires etc. are the results of climate change. If all this has to be stopped, then the society will have to build a strong relationship with the forests. Students will have to be motivated to contribute in saving the environment, forests and humanity. He also emphasized on green employment and green economy. Dr. Kamal Ghanshala, Chairman, Graphic Era Group of Institutions, said that climate change and global warming are bigger than any biggest threat facing the world and humanity. This future challenge can be faced only when it is taken seriously. More necessary steps will be taken. The society itself will become aware of the environment and ecology.
Professor Chetan of IIT Bombay said that production will have to be done at the local level so that the situation does not get worse. You have to reduce your needs. He gave a formula for the use of energy – Avoid, Minimize and Generate i.e. avoid the use of energy. If this is not possible, minimize it and produce it yourself.
The Vice Chancellor of Graphic Era Hill University, Dr. Sanjay Jasola delivered the welcome address at the function. Dr. Narpinder Singh, Vice Chancellor of Graphic Era Deemed University expressed gratitude. Higher Education Advisor Prof. KD Purohit and several officials and teachers also attended the function.
