What is special about Brand Bollywood Documentary?
This documentary named ‘Brand Bollywood – Down Under’ has been made by Anupam Sharma. Through this documentary, an attempt has been made to capture the effect of Bollywood in Australia. The documentary was screened in the India Pavilion section.
‘Brand Bollywood’ will be released in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji this year. At the same time, in India, America and Britain, the documentary will be released after the festival.
Anupam Sharma, director of the documentary, says-
Bollywood is the tremendous soft power of India. Like Ayurveda, Yoga, Cricket, Medical and IT, this too is India’s contribution to the whole world. I have closely observed the Indian film industry carving out a niche for itself in Australia. This is a story that should be told to the whole world.
The documentary features information about films that have been shot in Australia.
Veteran actor Anupam Kher says-
I feel a connection with Australia. I would be happy if an Indian film is made with Australia in collaboration with the government. I am looking forward to act in an Australian-Indian film as Hotel Mumbai was a great experience.
