WTC Final: Team India’s new style in ‘three stripes’, preparations for Mission Australia begin

The IPL 2023 season is also about to end. Only 3 teams are left, between which there is a competition for the title. The remaining 7 teams are out of the tournament. Right now everyone’s attention is on the remaining two matches, which will be played in Ahmedabad, but thousands of kilometers away from Ahmedabad, some such players have gathered, whose journey in IPL is over. These players have now started preparing for an even bigger mission – Mission World Test Championship Final.

The final of the World Test Championship will be played between India and Australia from June 7 at the Oval ground in London. The entire support staff including some players and coach Rahul Dravid of the Indian team selected for this final has reached London. Players like Virat Kohli, Shardul Thakur, Ravichandran Ashwin, who have been out of IPL, have also started preparations after reaching England.

Practice started in London

Team India, playing the final of the World Test Championship for the second time in a row, started preparations for this title match from Thursday, 25 May. The Board of Control for Cricket in India informed about the start of preparations by posting pictures of fast bowlers Umesh Yadav and Shardul Thakur, besides coach Rahul Dravid and his support staff on their social media accounts.

The most important thing about these pictures is the new training kit of Team India. Indian coaches and players were seen wearing light blue sweat shirts with three black stripes and caps of the same colour. These new jerseys are special because they have been designed by the famous German sportswear brand Adidas, which has become the official jersey partner of Team India for the next few years. Three stripes are the special identity of Adidas and for the first time Team India will be seen in the jersey of this brand.

Indian players left in different batches

Indian team players have reached London in different batches for IPL. Players like Kohli, Ashwin, Siraj, Jaydev Unadkat, Shardul Thakur and Umesh Yadav have reached here. Other veterans like Captain Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Mohammed Shami and Ajinkya Rahane will leave for London only after the IPL final. All these players are currently engaged in the race for the finals.
