Uttar Pradesh / Gorakhpur: Die but won’t give money for liquor, son hanged after listening to his mother

Nikhil Sharma (25), the only son of a railway worker, committed suicide by hanging himself on Jail Road in Shahpur area of Gorakhpur district on Thursday. It is being told that he had demanded money from the family members and on not giving, took a suicidal step. On the other hand, the police say that he was addicted to alcohol. On not getting money for liquor, took the suicidal step. There is mourning in the house after death.

According to the information, Anil Sharma is a railway employee living in Jail Road Chowki area of Shahpur police station area. The family consisted of a wife, a daughter and a son. On Thursday, his only son Nikhil Sharma hanged himself with a dupatta at home. Jail Road and Asuran Chowki police reached the information and informed the ambulance.

When there was a delay in the arrival of the ambulance, the relatives reached the medical college in their own car, where the doctor declared him brought dead. On the other hand, Nikhil’s sister told the police that he often used to ask for five hundred thousand rupees at home. That day also he was insisting for money. When the relatives did not give the money, he hanged himself in the room around 12:30 pm.

Shahpur police station chief Manoj Pandey told that at the time of the incident the father was taking a bath while the sister had gone to the library. The family members were upset due to Nikhil drinking alcohol everyday and creating discord in the house. That day also Nikhil was asking his mother for money for liquor. Annoyed by asking for money for drugs every day, the mother simply said that go get killed, but will not get the money. After that he went to the room and committed suicide.
