‘China is not increasing troops on the border’: CDS Chauhan said – except Depsang and Demchok, all parts are under our control

The passing out parade of the National Defense Academy (NDA) is underway in Pune, Maharashtra. During this, Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan also attended. He praised the women while reviewing the passing out parade of the 144th course of NDA on Tuesday. Also talked about China rising on the northern border.

On the occasion, the CDS General while addressing the cadets said that today I congratulate you. He also congratulated the women cadets. He said that today the women of the country are coming forward to protect the national interest. He has brought the NDA to a level playing field, where earlier it was only men, now women are also a part of it. The CDS said that I am happy that women have resolved to take up the same responsibilities as their male counterparts.

Chouhan also spoke on the issue of China. He said that the deployment of Chinese army on the northern border is not increasing, it is the same as it was in 2020. He said that the Indian Army is making every possible effort to ensure that the situation does not deteriorate. Chouhan said that we have to maintain the validity of our claim. Resolving the border dispute is a separate issue, the status quo has to be maintained in the areas where we used to patrol before 2020, on which we claim. The general said that the situation at two places is still the same as it was. The condition is good everywhere except Depsang and Demchok. Talks are going on regarding this.

On the challenges facing the country, Shri Anil Chauhan said that the war in Europe, the continuous deployment of PLA on our northern borders and the political and economic upheavals in our immediate neighborhood are all posing a different challenge to the Indian Army. Are. He further said that the armed forces are committed to maintaining peace along the Line of Control. Chouhan said that the role of the army is very important. Therefore, let us be active in maintaining peace and stability not only in our country but also in the neighbourhood.

Chouhan further said that we are witnessing a new revolution in the Army today, which is mostly driven by technology. At the same time, he also talked about the armed forces of India. He said that the armed forces are also on the path of a major transformation. Jointness, integration and creation of theater commands is under consideration. Meanwhile, the CDS said that we are living in times when the global security situation is not the best and the international geo-political order is in a state of flux.

At the same time, he also talked about the Manipur violence. He said that the violence in Manipur has nothing to do with terrorists. It is mainly a fight between two castes. It is a law and order kind of situation, he said. We are helping the state government. The General said that we have saved a large number of lives. However, the challenges in Manipur are not over and it will take some time. Chouhan said that it is expected that people from both the sides will calm down.
