Madhya Pradesh: Bajrang Dal official caught smuggling ganja in Satna, 21 kg 900 gm ganja recovered
An official of Bajrang Dal has been caught smuggling marijuana in Satna district of Madhya Pradesh. Along with him, one of his companions is also in the hands of the police. The main accused Sundaram Tiwari is the co-convenor of Panna unit of Bajrang Dal. After the matter came to light, former CM Digvijay Singh said whether smuggling of marijuana is a cultural act? Chiefs of RSS and Bajrang Dal should tell which part of the training is to teach the youth to trade in drugs.
According to the information, the patrolling party of RPF had caught two youths carrying a consignment of Ganja from Uchehra railway station on Sunday. The arrested youths include Sundaram Tiwari and Raj Chaurasia father resident of Chandauli district UP. Five bags were found from these youths which were filled with ganja. Although, the RPF has made public the information of seizure of 21 kg 9 grams of ganja, but sources reveal that more than 35 kg ganja was found in only 2 bags during weighing in Uchehra.
On Monday, Assistant Commissioner Railway Safety Suresh Kumar Mishra disclosed the whole matter after reaching Satna from Jabalpur. RPF Deputy Commandant Mishra told that Sundaram Tiwari and his accomplice were bringing this consignment of Ganja from Raipur. He has also got a train ticket from Raipur to Satna. Both were sitting in the general coach of Sarnath Express.
One of the arrested accused, Sundaram Tiwari, is the district co-convenor of Bajrang Dal in Panna district. It is being told that after the recovery of the cannabis consignment, Sundaram Tiwari started threatening the police with his high connections. The accused was seen taunting his mustache in front of the police. However, as soon as the news of Bajrang Dal worker’s involvement in the case of Ganja smuggling went viral on social media, Bajrang Dal has issued notice to remove Sundaram Tiwari from the post of co-convenor.
After the matter came to light, former CM Digvijay Singh has targeted Bajrang Dal and RSS. Singh said, “Is smuggling of marijuana a cultural act? Tell the chiefs of RSS and Bajrang Dal, which part of the training is there for the youth to learn to do drug trade?”
