Shri Ganga Sabha, the managing body of Har Ki Pauri, has refused permission to immerse the medals of the wrestlers protesting at Delhi Jantar Mantar at Har Ki Pauri. President of Shri Ganga Sabha, the managing executive body of Har Ki Pauri, Nitin Gautam has issued a statement saying that this is the holy pilgrimage site of Sanatan, it will not be allowed to become an arena of politics. He demanded the administration to stop the wrestlers from doing so.

Expressing apprehension, said that for the evening aarti, thousands of devotees start gathering at Har Ki Pauri and its associated Ganga ghats from 5:00 pm onwards, this crowd starts gathering around 7:30 pm to 8:00 pm. Lasts till :00. In such a situation, this action of the wrestlers can become the cause of any major accident or stampede. From this point of view also his move should be banned.

Shri Ganga Sabha President Nitin Gautam said that Har Ki Pauri is the area for Ganga Aarti and bone immersion and not for medal immersion, Shri Ganga Sabha opposes, condemns, and boycotts any such act. Said that the dignity of pilgrimage should be maintained, it will not be allowed to become an arena of politics. Said, Ganga ji is flowing everywhere in Haridwar, wrestlers can complete their work at any other place also. But, they will not be allowed to do this at Har Ki Pauri.
