BJP high command again brought Trivendra to Rukhsar, will conduct public relations campaign in 5 Lok Sabha constituencies of UP
Finally, the BJP high command gave the job to former Uttarakhand CM Trivendra Singh Rawat. He has been entrusted with the responsibility related to the Lok Sabha elections. After former CM Nishank, now Trivendra Singh Rawat will also start Maha Jan Sampark Abhiyan in five Lok Sabha seats of Uttar Pradesh. A day before, Trivendra Singh Rawat had met prominent party leaders including BL Santosh in Delhi. Trivendra Rawat will leave from Dehradun on June 2 and start the public relations campaign from Azamgarh Lok Sabha seat. Former Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has been entrusted with the responsibility of public relations campaign in five Lok Sabha seats of Uttar Pradesh, Azamgarh, Ballia, Bansgaon, Salempur and Deoria. Significantly, after being suddenly removed from the CM’s chair in March 2021, Trivendra Rawat was not made to contest the 2022 assembly elections. And the party high command itself had also written a letter to former CM Trivendra not to contest the elections. It was expected that the party would send him to the Rajya Sabha. But giving a shock, Pratibha Saini was sent to Rajya Sabha. This was considered a heavy political blow for Trivendra supporters.
After this stand of the high command, Trivendra Singh Rawat’s involvement in party activities had also reduced. Meanwhile, after talks with party leaders in Delhi recently, former CM Trivendra Singh Rawat was entrusted with the responsibility of starting a mass public relations campaign on five Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh.
Former Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said that he would reach Banaras on June 2 by air in the afternoon. From there, he will first start the public relations campaign from Azamgarh Lok Sabha constituency by car. During this, he will put in front of the public the work done for the development of the country and Lok Sabha constituencies in the last 9 years under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Along with taking the workers and office bearers of the area together, they will work under a strategy for this campaign.
He told that door-to-door contact will also be done under the campaign. Enlightened and intellectual sections of the region, businessmen, farmers, youth, women as well as contacting all sections will make aware about the historical works done by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in 9 years. Along with this, the BJP will also contact every eminent person of the Lok Sabha constituency under the public relations campaign. For this, the party high command has also prepared a list of 1000 such eminent persons in every Lok Sabha constituency.
Trivendra told that at present there are BJP MPs on these five Lok Sabha seats. The Azamgarh seat was won by SP’s Akhilesh Yadav in the 2019 elections, but the BJP again wrested the seat from the SP in the by-elections. There are BJP MPs on all these five Lok Sabha seats.
Organizationally BJP is in a strong position here. But again for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, more work needs to be done to give more strength to the party workers. So that the BJP can win the next year’s Lok Sabha elections with a margin of more votes. Significantly, in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Trivendra Singh Rawat was given the responsibility of co-incharge.
