Nationwide demonstration to be held on June 1, announcement of United Kisan Morcha, Rakesh Tikait appeals to wrestlers

The wrestlers agitating against Brijbhushan Sharan Singh have got the support of the United Kisan Morcha. After the meeting with the wrestlers on Tuesday (May 30), the United Kisan Morcha has made a big announcement. On June 1, the United Front will protest across the country against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. During this, effigies will be burnt at district and tehsil centres. Let me tell you, on Tuesday evening the wrestlers have announced to shed their medals in the Ganges. Indian Farmers Union spokesperson Rakesh Tikait has appealed to the wrestlers not to do so.

Rakesh Tikait tweeted and wrote, “This medal is the pride of the country and the tricolor. We request all the wrestlers not to take such a step. You have made the country proud with your sport. We request the President and the Prime Minister to take the matter into cognizance and talk to the wrestlers soon.

Meeting between wrestlers and SKM

On Tuesday, there was a meeting between the United Kisan Morcha and the wrestlers, in which the wrestlers were represented by Bajrang Punia. United Kisan Morcha assured that the struggle will continue until these wrestlers get justice and Brij Bhushan Singh is not arrested. In the meeting, Bajrang Punia agreed to walk with the Kisan Morcha and accept whatever decision the Morcha takes.

These decisions taken in the meeting

• On June 1, 2023, SKM will call for mass demonstrations and effigy burning at all district and tehsil centers of India demanding the arrest of BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.
• On June 5, 2023, SKM will give a call to expose Brijbhushan Sharan Singh’s criminal conduct so far and burn his effigy at village and city level across India. Let us inform, on this day Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh has called a rally of saints in Ayodhya.
• SKM will call a meeting of the National Council in New Delhi immediately after June 5, 2023, and decide the future course of action to continue the struggle.
