‘Never thought I would get such a big punishment, but it was beneficial…’ Rahul Gandhi said in US after going to Parliament
Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi has again attacked the BJP government in America today. He said that he never thought that he would get the maximum punishment in the defamation case and would be disqualified as an MP. Addressing a lecture at the prestigious Stanford University campus in California, Rahul Gandhi said-
“I lost my membership of Parliament, but it has given me a lot of opportunity to work. I am not speaking against democracy, I am speaking about those sacred independent institutions which the government wants to usurp and certainly change their role.”
Rahul Gandhi, who went on a six-day visit to America, said that he has heard a lot about Stanford University. Entire opposition in India is struggling
Rahul further said that we were fighting against the wrong decisions of the government and meanwhile I was sentenced. He said that the entire opposition in India is fighting and against the institutional occupation, all are fighting for democratic rights in the country.
