Uttarakhand: This time 374 cadets will pass out, will be organized on June 10, Army Chief Manoj Pandey will be included

The passing out parade of the Indian Military Academy (IMA) will be held on June 10. 374 cadets will pass out in this. In this, 42 cadets from seven friendly countries will also be included. Army Chief Manoj Pandey will take the salute of the parade. All the officers of the army, dignitaries from the country and abroad and the relatives of the cadets will reach Doon to see the parade. Academy management is busy in preparations for the parade. Gentleman Cadets are rehearsing fiercely for the passing out parade. Even before the parade, many programs will be organized in the academy. According to academy officials, there will be a graduation ceremony on June 2, in which cadets of the Army Cadet College wing will be initiated with degrees from Jawaharlal Nehru University. After this all these cadets will become part of the academy. On June 8, there will be a Commandant Parade and Award Ceremony at the academy, in which cadets who have excelled during military training will be rewarded. A day before the main passing out parade i.e. on June 9, a multi activity display show will be organized at the Academy.

IMA came into existence in 1932

Please tell that IMA came into existence on October 1, 1932. In the last 91 years, the Academy has increased its training capacity from 40 to 1650 Gentleman Cadets. So far 64,489 Gentlemen Cadets have passed out from the Academy. It also includes 2843 foreign cadets from 36 friendly countries.

Horse-drawn carriage will not be visible

This time the horse-drawn carriage will not be seen in the passing out parade. Till now the inspecting officer used to reach the parade ground in a four horse cart (Patiala coach). The former Maharaja of Patiala gifted this wagon to the IMA in 1969. Apart from this, Jaipur coach, Victoria coach and Commandant’s flag coach gifted by former Maharaja of Jaipur have also been in operation. But, now under the orders of the Ministry of Defense the Indian Army has abolished the colonial practices like buggies, pipe bands etc. That’s why this time IMA will not include horse cart in the passing out parade.
