The British think-tank claimed that since October 2022, China was engaged in construction work here. Satellite images showed that China has now completed the construction work in Aksai Chin area. After the bloody skirmish on the border in May 2020, China is rapidly promoting connectivity in the border areas with India. China is struggling to gain access to the Galvan Valley. Runway made for helicopter, drone

Constructions done in Aksai Chin include wide roads, outposts, modern weatherproof camps with parking facilities, solar panels and even a helipad. It is said that China is also building a new heliport in the disputed area. This port is situated near Aksai Chin Lake. China is building 18 hangars and small runways here, where drones, helicopters and fighter jets can fly in case of emergency.
