‘Yes I did meet Amit Shah…’, Sakshi Malik responds to news of quitting protest
Wrestlers Sakshi Malik and Bajrang Punia have returned to their jobs in the Railways. Olympic medalists Sakshi Malik and Bajrang Punia have been appointed as OCD (Sports) in Indian Railways. However, he made it clear that he is not backing down from the protest. Sakshi Malik said on Monday (5 June), “We met Union Home Minister Amit Shah, it was a normal conversation, we have only one demand and that is to arrest him (Brij Bhushan Singh).”
She told news agency ANI, “I have not backed down from the protest, I have resumed my work as OSD in Railways. I want to make it clear that we will protest till we get justice.” Will stay. We will not back down. She (the minor girl) has not withdrawn any FIR, it is all fake.”
“The fight continues till justice is served”
Sakshi Malik termed the reports of withdrawing from the dharna as wrong and said, “This news is absolutely wrong. Neither of us has retreated in the fight for justice, nor will we. Along with Satyagraha, fulfill our responsibility in the Railways.” Our fight is on till we get justice. Please don’t spread any false news.” In fact, regarding Sakshi Malik, news agency ANI told on Monday that she has rejoined her job in Indian Railways. After this news came to the fore, it was claimed that Sakshi Malik had distanced herself from the protest by the wrestlers.
“We Have Not Backed Down”
On the other hand, Bajrang Punia tweeted, “The news of withdrawal of the movement is a rumor. These news are being spread to harm us. We have neither withdrawn nor have we withdrawn the movement. The news of women wrestlers raising FIR is also false. The fight will continue till justice is served.”
“Will start the movement again”
Wrestler and Sakshi Malik’s husband Satyavrat Kadian said, “Such things are being run to influence our decision. We have not backed down from the protest. Our protest will continue. Whatever happened to us at Jantar Mantar After that we came back. We will start the agitation again. The whole country has seen what the Delhi Police has done to us, everyone is against it.”
