855 government services will be available in Uttarakhand on time limit, penalty will be imposed on delay under right to service

In the CM Pushkar Singh Dhami government, now government services will be available within the stipulated time limit. Now fine will also be imposed for delay in government services. Preparations have been completed by the Uttarakhand government regarding this. The Right to Service Amendment Act has come into force in Uttarakhand. Due to this, the commission has now got the right to impose fine on the officers who delay in providing government services to the public. The Dhami government had introduced the amended Act in the Gairsain budget session in the month of March to provide timely major services related to the public and to curb corruption.

After the approval of the Raj Bhavan, the Legislative Department has issued its notification. This amended act has now come into force in the state. The government has put 855 services of various departments under the Right to Service Commission, for which a timetable has also been fixed.

Under this, if the appellate officer of the department did not provide the services on time, then the person concerned used to appeal to the designated officer of the department. The Second Appellate Authority had the power to impose fines. Usually the departmental officers tried to save the subordinate from the amount of fine, but now the government has given this right to the commission.

Due to this, there will be pressure on the designated officer to provide related services within time. The commission can impose a minimum fine of five hundred and a maximum of Rs 5000. Right to Service Commission Secretary GC Gunwant said that the Right to Service Commission has received the amended Act.

Instructions for fixing the time frame of services

Secretary Personnel Shailesh Bagauli took a meeting of the officers of Child Development, Animal Husbandry, Urban Development, Energy, Sainik Welfare etc. departments and asked them to identify such services which can be made available to the public within time. He instructed to prepare a proposal for these services with a time frame.
