Deepika Chikhaliya furious over Om Raut’s kiss controversy

Adipurush (Adipurush) director Om Raut and Kriti Sanon (Kriti Sanon) recently visited the Tirupati Balaji temple, there has been an uproar on social media after the video surfaced from the temple. In the viral video, Om can be seen kissing Kriti on the cheek. Seeing this, the fans got enraged and started making various comments. Meanwhile, Dipika Chiklia, who plays Sita in Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayana, has reacted.

Deepika (Dipika Chiklia) said that Kriti might not have considered herself as Sita. Kriti will be seen as Janaki in Om Raut’s upcoming Adipurush based on the epic Ramayana. Deepika Chikhaliya further said, “I believe this is a big problem with this generation of actors, as they neither get into the character nor understand their emotions. Ramayana must have been just a film for him. Maybe they are not spiritually connected to it. Kriti is the actress of today’s generation. In today’s era, kissing or hugging someone is considered a sweet gesture. She would never have considered herself as Sitaji. It becomes a matter of feelings. I have lived the character of Sita whereas today’s actresses consider her just a role. After the film or project is over, they don’t care anymore.

‘We don’t even hug anyone’

Deepika also told how she was treated on the sets during her time, ‘Nobody dared to call us by our names on the sets. At that time, others did not see us as actors on the sets, they considered us as Gods. We could not even hug anyone, let alone kiss. Adipurush actors will get busy with their next project after the release (of the film) and may forget about their character. But this never happened with us. Let me tell you, Deepika played the role of Goddess Sita in Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayana. Actor Arun Govil played the role of Lord Ram. The show was aired on Doordarshan channel in the late 80s.
