NDRF personnel returned after conquering Bhagirathi 2 peaks, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Dhami welcomed

The soldiers of NDRF i.e. National Disaster Response Force have returned after climbing Mount Bhagirathi 2 peaks. NDRF personnel have successfully climbed the 6,512 meter high peak. CM Pushkar Dhami welcomed the NDRF jawans who returned after mountaineering of Bhagirathi 2 peak.

In fact, the first mountaineering team of NDRF has successfully scaled Mount Bhagirathi situated at an altitude of 6512 meters. On May 30, at 1:25 in the afternoon, 10 skilled mountaineers created history by hoisting the NDRF flag. This expedition team was led by Deputy Inspector General NDRF Gambhir Singh Chauhan. 38 members were included in this team. Whereas, the campaign was flagged off on 15 May in New Delhi.

The soldiers of the National Disaster Response Force had gone ahead of Gangotri in Uttarkashi district to conquer the Bhagirathi 2 peak, about 6,512 meters high. These soldiers hoisted the tricolor on Bhagirathi 2 peak overcoming all the challenges and obstacles including weather. After which they returned to their base camp. Today the soldiers reached the Chief Minister’s camp office in Dehradun. Where he met Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami.

At the same time, CM Dhami welcomed the NDRF jawans who returned after climbing the Bhagirathi 2 peak at the Chief Minister’s camp office. CM Dhami congratulated all the team members for successfully completing the campaign. CM Dhami said that NDRF personnel and officers play an important role in relief and rescue operations during natural calamities in Uttarakhand. The work done by them with service and dedication is highly commendable.

It is very difficult to conquer Bhagirathi 2 peak

Please tell that Bhagirathi 2 peak is 6,512 meters high. To go here, first of all one has to reach Gangotri Dham from Uttarkashi. Then one has to reach the base camp located at an altitude of about 4,040 meters on foot from Gangotri via Bhoj Basa and Nandan Van. Here the Bhagirathi peak has to be conquered from the advance base camp. It is not easy to conquer Bhagirathi peak. Here the weather changes from moment to moment, in such a way climbing is quite challenging.
