Uttarakhand: Congress is weakening the government’s fight against love and land jihad and those who change the state’s demography – Mahendra Bhatt
Expressing strong objection to the statements of the Congress against the action being taken by the state government to maintain the form of Devbhoomi, the BJP said that the Congress should clear its stand except appeasement. State President Mahendra Bhatt alleged that all the leaders, including the former Congress CM, are trying to weaken the fight of the people and the government against love and land jihad and those who are trying to change the demography of the state. Bhatt has termed as disappointing the frequent reactions of all the opposition leaders including the Congress on this burning issue related to the state’s identity, peace and cultural identity. He said, on this subject, all political and social organizations should strongly oppose the people engaged in this conspiracy in a well-planned manner. But in order to please the particular community, Congress and other party leaders are indirectly supporting the accused by giving false or misleading statements on this issue.
Bhatt said, it is clearly visible that the involvement of people belonging to a particular community from outside the state, especially in the hilly areas, has been found in all these issues. But accepting this bitter truth, these people are not saying a single word in favor of the sentiments of the people of the state.
He said that the truth is not going to change by turning away and now is the time that all the leaders of the opposition, including the Congress, should come forward and clarify their stand on the issues of love jihad, land jihad, illegal conversions including demography and conspiracy to change identity. He challenged and said, instead of giving roundabout answers, they should give clear answers on these subjects, so that the public can know whether they are in favor of maintaining the state’s cultural, spiritual and religious identity as Devbhoomi or not.
