Bihar: Be careful! Here she lost her life after eating chicken at a wedding? About 200 people got sick

An old man died due to food poisoning in Chhinda and Heth Chhida (Jhilua) villages under North Kaswavsila Panchayat of Suiya police station area of Chandan block in Banka district of Bihar. While about two hundred people of the village got ill. On June 8, the villagers had taken food at a marriage ceremony organized in the village itself and after that the process of people falling ill started. More people fell ill since Saturday evening and an old man died in the night. On the information of the incident, the police administration and the medical team reached the village on Sunday. Treatment of sick villagers has been started. The administration has denied that the death of the old man was due to food poisoning.
According to the information, the daughter of Babar Ansari of Chhinda village was married to the son of Sintu Ansari of Heth Chhinda village on June 8. On the second day i.e. on June 9, after the wedding feast at Babar Ansari’s place, women, men and small children of the village started complaining of stomach pain, vomiting and diarrhoea. During this, one by one people started getting sick. After the wedding ceremony, there was a stir in both the villages.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that chicken and rice were fed in the food prepared for the guests at the wedding ceremony. From June 9, people’s health started deteriorating. Most of the people of the village fell ill since Saturday evening. During this, an old man Zakir Ansari (70) of the village died on Saturday night. Former chief Maulana Abbas Ansari informed the medical officer in charge of Community Health Center Chandan about the incident. As soon as the information was received, Dr. Shashikant, Dr. Bholanath, besides ANM, a team of health workers were deployed in Chhinda and Heth Chhida villages. Where the treatment of patients suffering from diarrhea was started at home.
As soon as District Magistrate Anshul Kumar and SP Dr. Satya Prakash received the information about the incident, on joint instructions, Belhar Sub-Divisional Police Officer Premchand Singh, BDO Rakesh Kumar, Medical Officer in-charge Dr. AK Sinha, Suiya Police Station Manish Kumar, Under Inspector Mohammad Sahjad, CHO of Referral Hospital Katoria After reaching Devrishi Kumavad, Ganpat Lal Berwa Chhinda village, met the victim’s family and inquired about their health.
The medical officer in charge said that all the patients suffering from diarrhea are out of danger. He told that the old man did not die of diarrhea and it was a natural death. Because the relatives told that the old man had not eaten food in the feast. BDO said that bleaching powder and lime etc. are being sprayed in all the houses in Chheeda village. On behalf of the administration, complete arrangements have been made for health related medicines etc. in the villages. The medical officer in charge has been instructed to keep the medical team in the village till the infected patient recovers so that no untoward incident can happen.
