According to the latest information given by the Meteorological Center, from June 12 to June 15, there is a possibility of lightning accompanied by thunder and gusty winds at some places in the state. In view of this, Yellow Alert has been issued. People of Rudraprayag, Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Nainital, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh, Tehri need to be careful. From June 12 to 15, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain and hailstorm with thunder and lightning in the hilly districts of the state. There will be no respite even in the plains. There is a possibility of winds blowing at a speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour with thunder and lightning. Yellow alert has been issued from 12 to 15 June. During this, light to moderate rain and lightning may occur at isolated places in the hilly areas of the state. Hail can damage plantations, horticulture and standing crops.

Light clouds in the state on Sunday morning had raised hopes that the weather would change and there would be respite from the heat, but it did not happen. From nine o’clock in the morning, bright sunlight blossomed from the field to the mountain. From 12 noon, the heat caused a lot of trouble to the people. In the plains, Dehradun, Doiwala, Rishikesh, Haridwar, Roorkee, Udhamsinnagar etc., the temperature was recorded three to four degrees above normal. Areas like Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Uttarkashi, Srinagar also continued to heat up. The maximum temperature of Dehradun was recorded three degrees above normal and that of Mussoorie two degrees above normal. Director of the Meteorological Center Bikram Singh said that from Monday to June 15, lightning accompanied by thunder at some places in the state, light rain, hailstorm and wind speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour can blow at some places. In view of this, Yellow Alert has been issued.
