Chief Minister Dhami said that Modi ji has given many schemes to the country for the upliftment and progress of every section of the society during his 9-year tenure. Such schemes through which today the poorest of the poor people of the country are getting the facilities of bread, clothes and house easily. The Prime Minister has given the slogan of ‘Vocal for Local’ to strengthen the country’s economy. Initiative was taken to make the country self-reliant.

Chief Minister Dhami said that direct air service is being started between Goa and Dehradun. Now one can reach Goa from Dehradun in just two hours. This will give more impetus to tourism in the state. Special emphasis is being laid by our government on encouraging MSMEs and women entrepreneurs.

The government is creating the necessary ecosystem to facilitate business growth and attract investment. Recently, on the occasion of the launch of Vande Bharat train from Dehradun to Delhi, the Prime Minister spoke of Uttarakhand as Navratna of development. Under which reconstruction work is being done in Kedarnath-Badrinath Dham with ₹ 1300 crores. Kedarnath and Hemkund Sahib ropeway work is being done at a cost of ₹ 2500 crore. Work is being done on Manaskhand Mandir Mala Mission.

Home stay is being promoted in the state. More than 4000 home stays have been registered in the state. 16 eco-tourism destinations are being developed. AIIMS Satellite Center is being expanded in Udham Singh Nagar. Work is underway on the ₹2,000 crore Tehri Lake Development Project. Rishikesh – Haridwar is being developed as the capital of adventure tourism and yoga. Work on Tanakpur-Bageshwar rail line will also start soon.

Chief Minister Dhami said that the issue of encroachment on government lands is serious. In accordance with the orders of the courts, the administration conducts a campaign to eliminate encroachments from time to time. The general public is also getting full cooperation in this direction. In future too, the issues of encroachment on government land will be taken seriously and equitable action will be implemented.

The Chief Minister said that in Uttarakhand also we have taken many important steps to effectively control corruption. The initiative taken to root out corruption in our state can become an example in the whole country. The credit goes to our state government for implementing the country’s most stringent anti-copying law in the shortest possible time.

Chief Minister Dhami said that it is indeed a very proud achievement for a geographically relatively small state like Uttarakhand, which has got the opportunity to host three G20 meetings. We are very excited and eager for the upcoming G20 meeting to be held in the state. I do not only hope but have full faith that our experiences of all the G20 meetings in the state will be unforgettable. Organizing G20 conferences in the state is a golden opportunity for us to showcase new opportunities, new experiences, our traditional, cultural, spiritual heritage and tourism potential at the international level.
