Once again a strange case has come to light in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur where a wife tried to kill her own husband by burning him alive by tying him to a tree. It is being told that she did not like her husband. To execute this incident, the wife first trapped the husband in her trap, then tied him to a tree, then sprinkled kerosene and set him on fire. The husband has suffered 60% burns, he is undergoing treatment at SKMCH. The police have registered an FIR on the husband’s statement. The wife has also been arrested. The incident is of the original Devsar village of Sahebganj police station area.
Married a year ago, made a plan to remove the husband from the way
In fact, 26-year-old Shambhu Kumar, a resident of Asli Devsar, was married to a 22-year-old Chhoti Kumari of Gijas village on June 7 last year. Shambhu’s family members say that Chhoti did not like her husband and used to fight with us only after marriage. The younger one did not like Shambhu because of which they never lived as husband and wife. On the other hand, Chhoti’s family members repeatedly used to pressurize her to stay with Shambhu, after which Chhoti Kumari made a plan to remove Shambhu from the way. She had returned home from her maternal home a few days back and called Shambhu near the tree in the garden behind the house on the pretext of love.
Jokingly tied to a tree
Shambhu, who is undergoing treatment, told that on Saturday night his wife coaxed him and took him to the garden behind the house. There, jokingly, he was tied to a tree with the help of a rope and a pot, then put kerosene on it and set it on fire. When Shambhu Kumar tied to the tree started burning with fire, he started shouting loudly. Hearing his voice, the people around reached the spot. They rescued Shambhu Kumar, who was burning with fire tied to a tree, and admitted him to the hospital for treatment. At the same time, two people were also seriously burnt in saving Shambhu. Shambhu’s life could be saved by the readiness of the local people. At present he has been admitted to the burn ward of SkMCH. At the same time, the accused wife Chhoti has been arrested by the police.
Chhoti had brought kerosene from her home
Shambhu’s aunt Sushila Devi told that Chhoti had brought kerosene from her house to burn Shambhu, because no one needs it in our village after electricity. Shambhu’s sister-in-law Rangita Devi told that she did not like her husband. She used to say that her parents had forcefully got her married to Shambhu.
