A shocking case of refusal of marriage of a bride has come to light in Beniganj Kotwali area of Hardoi in Uttar Pradesh. The boy’s side alleges that the bride refused to marry only because the groom’s side did not bring a necklace for her. The matter reached the Kotwali police, but due to the stubbornness of the girl, the procession had to return empty-handed. According to the information, a procession had arrived from Lakhimpur-Kheeri in Hans Barauli village of Beniganj Kotwali on Monday. As soon as the procession reached, the people of the bride’s side entertained the baraatis a lot.

The necklace was not in the jewelry, then the girl denied

When all the rituals started, first of all the jewelery brought by the groom’s side for the girl was presented, so there was no necklace in it. What was it then, whispers started among the women from the girl’s side. When the girl came to know that the necklace had not come for her, the girl got angry and then she refused to marry.

There was a stir in the procession when the girl refused to marry. Panchayat continued throughout the day to persuade the girl’s side, but even after this, when the girl did not agree, the boys gave a complaint letter at Beniganj Kotwali. After this, the Beniganj police reached the spot and took both the parties to the police station. The panchayat continued till late night at the police station, but the marriage procession returned after the girl refused.

Girl’s side also disappointed

The people from the girl’s side told that the people from the boy’s side had demanded a bike and other dowry in dowry, which they had also bought. But his girl refused to marry him, in such a situation, he spent a lot in the preparations for the marriage. He is very disappointed for not getting married.
