YouTube opened another door of earning! Users with less than 1000 subscribers can also earn lakhs of rupees; Know how?
YouTube recently announced a significant update to its monetization policy, making it easier for small creators to monetize their content. The platform has lowered eligibility requirements for its YouTube Partner Program (YPP) and introduced new monetization methods for creators with small followings. This is a great feature for creators who want to earn more income from their own created content. Through this update, YouTube has provided more business opportunities for the respective creators by condensing the general duration and steps. This will provide new and innovative creators with more monetization methods through their creative work and create more diversity and productivity on YouTube.
YouTube Partner Program
As per the revised policy, creators will now be eligible to join YPP once they reach 500 subscribers, which is half the earlier requirement. This is a significant change that will provide creators with maximum business opportunities. Also, the limit on valid watch arms has been reduced from 4,000 to 3,000 and the number of shorts views has been adjusted from 10 million to 3 million.
These changes will be implemented initially in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Taiwan, and South Korea. This will give more creators an opportunity to join the YouTube Partner Program and get the most out of their creative content.
It is important to note that revenue sharing through YPP will still need to meet the existing criteria. This means that creators must upload hundreds of hours of video content to their channel, meet a specified number of subscribers and views, and adhere to licensing policies.
YouTube is now actively promoting its Advertising Revenue Sharing program for Shorts, which aims to encourage creators to create short-form content.
