Uttarakhand: CM Dhami reached Kedarpuri to inspect reconstruction works

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached Kedarnath Dham this morning. He has arrived here for on-site inspection of reconstruction works. An amount of Rs 148 crore will be spent on residential facilities for the pilgrims going to visit Baba Kedar. Apart from this, the heliport at the base camp is to be constructed for the residence of pilgrims and right holders. After the deluge in Kedarnath a decade ago, Kedarpuri has been beautified and beautified by the reconstruction works. The wounds of the disaster are being healed by the dream project of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. After the disaster, works worth Rs 225 crore were done in the first phase. There is still a lot to happen.

In the second phase, 21 construction works are going on at a cost of Rs 197 crore. Apart from this, residential facilities will be provided for more than 148 crore pilgrims. Except the Kedarnath temple, everything else was destroyed by the disaster that occurred on 16 June 2013. Thousands of people had lost their lives in the disaster.

Kedarnath reconstruction was started in three phases. In the first phase, expansion of the temple complex, Gol Plaza near Sangam and cut stone was laid on the way leading to the temple complex. Along with this, security work on the banks of river Mandakini, Central Street, Samadhi of Adi Guru Shankaracharya, Saraswati Astha Path and Ghat, construction of wall for protection of buildings on both sides of the temple complex, construction of meditation cave. In the second phase, reconstruction work is being done at a cost of Rs 197 crore.
