Dhami fulfilled the resolution, Uttarakhand is going to become the first state in the country to implement UCC
Uttarakhand is going to become the first state in the country, which is going to bring Uniform Civil Code (UCC) law first. Before June 30, its complete account has to be handed over to the government in the form of a draft. However, the expert committee constituted for UCC has prepared a blueprint according to the conditions of the state. Along with this, the committee had taken suggestions from about 2 lakh 30 thousand people for preparing the draft. The committee has put a final stamp on those suggestions.
Actually, the committee has almost prepared the draft. The Dhami government is going to bring the country’s first Uniform Civil Code law. It is believed that by June 30, the committee headed by retired judge Ranjana Desai will hand over its complete draft to the government. In such a situation, everyone wishes that what will be the blueprint of the country’s first Uniform Civil Code being prepared in Uttarakhand.
CM Dhami said that it is the resolution of the state government that UCC should be implemented in Uttarakhand. For which only after the formation of the government in the year 2022, an expert committee has been constituted to draft the UCC. However, the committee constituted for UCC has almost prepared the draft within the last one year. In such a situation, it is expected that the committee constituted by June 30 will hand over the draft to the government. After which it will be implemented in Uttarakhand.
BJP state president Mahendra Bhatt said that the draft has been prepared and soon the draft of UCC will be handed over to the government. In such a situation, Uttarakhand is going to become the first state in the country where UCC will be implemented. He said that it is written in the constitution that a time will come when UCC should be implemented in the country. With that objective UCC is going to be implemented in the state under the leadership of CM Dhami. The committee has taken suggestions for UCC from all sections and political parties.
If Congress is to be believed, these issues have been in the form of political weapons for the BJP since the beginning, which have never been understood by the public. For the BJP, Article 370 and the UCC law have long been included in the political agenda. On which now the central government is silent, whereas the subject of UCC is related to the central government. In such a situation, if the BJP government at the center is correct, then this subject should be brought to the center so that other states of the country can also adopt it.
