In February this year, a video of one of the previous visits to the wreck was released on YouTube. It contained 80 minutes of uncut footage. Then in May the first full size 3-D scan of the ship’s wreckage was also published. The wreckage was reconstructed in high resolution photos. Deep sea mapping technique was used for this.

In 2022, the deep-sea mapping company Magellan Ltd. and Atlantic Productions, who are making a documentary about the project, undertook the reconstruction. Experts who spent more than 200 hours surveying the wreckage on the floor of the Atlantic took more than 700,000 photos from a remotely controlled submersible to create the scan.
