People who came back after seeing the wreckage of Titanic told how scary the experience was!

On Sunday, the search for the missing Titan under the sea continues loudly. There are five people aboard this submarine, who had gone out to see the wreckage of the Titanic ship. The way time is passing, in the same way the hopes of survival of the people sitting in the submarine are also decreasing.

Oceangate CEO Stocken Rush, British businessman Hamish Harding, French diver Paul Henri Nargiolet, Pakistani billionaire Prince Dawood and his son Sulaiban Dawood are aboard the Titan submarine. Meanwhile, after seeing the wreckage of the Titanic ship, the passengers who returned safely have talked about their experiences.

David Pogue, who visited the Titanic wreckage on assignment for CBS Sunday Morning in November last year, described the Titanic submarine as a “minivan without seats”. Talking to NPR, Pogue said that if something goes wrong during this trip, there is not much you can do. However, he said that there are many ways for Titan to return. All these will also work. Even if the power of the submarine goes out and the people sitting in it lose their lives.

David Pogue further said, “My journey was not easy. We traveled down 37 feet. Then there was a technical problem in it. After this we canceled our trip. I was in shock. But I knew that such journeys rarely go according to plan.

David has claimed that you have to sign a contract before starting the journey. Basically eight paragraphs are written in it. In which it is written that during this journey you may become disabled or you may die. David further said that Oceangate is not a tourism company. Rather, in a way, it is an adventure for the rich. And you know, risk is life for them.”

The journey to reach the wreckage of the Titanic ship is very dangerous

Speaking to KIRO 7, The Simpsons writer Mike Reiss and his wife, who visited the Titanic wreck last year, said, “We were not happy or disappointed when we saw the Titanic wreck. Because even to reach the debris, he had to face a lot of struggle. We had very little time. Because we were two and a half miles down in the ocean. Apart from this, a storm was going to come in the sea, which was going to collide with our submarine.

Mike continued, “I know people are very concerned. But you know how dangerous it is. We are all part of such an experiment. They are doing research and inventing technology. So if you think of going and sign that agreement, then there is a mention of possible death in it. At that time you are knowing what you are going to do. Even when I had set foot in the submarine, it was running in my mind that my life could be lost in it.

This ain’t no disney ride

Speaking to TODAY, Aaron Newman, an investor in the Oceangate Company and who visited the Titanic wreck in 2021, said, “The ship was comfortable but its size was not enough. After 5-10 minutes of travel you will be in complete darkness. You have submersible lights so you can see outside and inside. Without submersible lights you cannot see more than 100 meters.

Newman further said that this is not a Disney ride. We are going to places where very few people have gone. So the risk will be there. And we all know that everyone who went signed an at-risk contract.

Talking to the BBC, Mexican YouTuber and actor Alan Estrada, who went to see the wreckage of the Titanic two years ago, said that everyone involved in this journey was aware of the risk we were taking. When I had also gone, I knew that if something happened and the submarine gets damaged after going deep, we might not even be able to notice it. He further said that to tell the truth, the journey of the submarine is nothing special. There is not much space in the submarine made of carbon fiber and titanium.

Titanic’s depth is four and a half times more than the height of Burj Khalifa

The wreckage of the Titanic lies at a depth of 12,500 feet below the surface of the sea. According to an estimate, the wreckage of the Titanic is four and a half times more in depth than the height of Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building.

Sunlight can also go only up to 660 feet in sea water. For scuba diving, people go only up to 130 feet deep. The deepest underwater rescue ever in the sea was done at a depth of 1,575 feet.
