Regarding the upcoming Kanwar fair where preparations are going on loudly at the local level. Uttarakhand government has also started the exercise. While the work of repairing all the roads for Shiva devotees Kanwaris is in the final stages, all arrangements are being made to welcome the Kanwaris.

This time flowers will be showered by helicopter to welcome the devotees of Shiva. Uttarakhand’s Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj reviewed all the preparations in a meeting with the high officials at the Mela Control Building in Haridwar and instructed the officials to complete all the works as soon as possible. The Tourism Minister says that the state government does not want to leave any stone unturned regarding the Kanwar fair.

Uttarakhand’s Tourism and Irrigation Minister Satpal Maharaj today held a review meeting of the preparations being made for the Kanwar fair. District Magistrate Dhiraj Singh Garbyal, SSC Ajay Singh and officers of all departments were present in the review meeting held at CCR Bhavan. The Tourism Minister himself has given necessary guidelines after taking information from the officials on 1-1 issue.
Satpal Maharaj appeared satisfied with the preparation of Kanwar fair
After the review meeting held by the cabinet minister at the fair control room in Haridwar on Friday, Minister Satpal Maharaj appeared satisfied with the preparations being made by the district administration regarding the fair. However, he has directed the District Magistrate etc. regarding the shortcomings he saw. Instructions have also been given to repair broken roads and damaged Kanwar tracks immediately. He has given instructions to the District Magistrate to shower flowers on the upcoming Kanwariyas. On the dispute regarding Kedarnath, Satpal Maharaj said that a committee has been formed regarding it. Technical people have also been kept in that committee. Action will be taken on the report of the investigation, the decision that will be taken.
