Uttar Pradesh / Bareilly: Had kidnapped the child from the orphanage in fascination! Changing the location did not work, the couple was arrested after two and a half years
The newborn was a stranger but, fed him in the lap, hugged him. He was so infatuated with her that caretaker Anuchandra took steps against the law. Adoption did not work out, so two and a half years ago she was secretly taken from the Warne Baby Fold shelter. On Saturday, the police arrested Anuchandra and Iqbal Singh, accused of supporting the kidnapping. The boy Ayush recovered from the accused was produced before the Child Welfare Committee (CWC), from where he was sent to the Arya Samaj Orphanage.
Was kidnapped in 2021
On March 26, 2021, child Aarush was kidnapped from Warne Baby Fold. At that time Priroj Edmund of Warn Baby Fold had written an FIR of kidnapping against Anuchandra, a resident of Khannu Mohalla. AHTU in-charge Harveer Singh told that a few days ago information was received about Aarush and Anuchandra. With the help of surveillance, it was found that Iqbal Singh was also involved in the kidnapping. He has taken Voluntary Retirement (VRS) some time ago.
Different locations
To prevent the police from reaching the child, the accused used to live at different places. On Saturday, the accused went towards the junction with the child, when both were arrested. According to the police, Anuchandra confessed that she had developed an affair with Aarush while in service. Gave an application to Warne Baby Fold to keep him with him but, the hearing did not happen. After this the child started worrying. There was a fear that he might not be handed over to someone else. Iqbal Singh is a native of Lakhimpur Kheri. Separated from wife for 15 years. He told that he was introduced to Anuchandra during his posting in Bareilly. Started living together after retirement in the year 2018.
Child sent to orphanage
With the help of AHTU and surveillance team, the child has been recovered safely. The child was produced before the CWC, from where it was sent to the Arya Samaj Orphanage. Advance action is being taken by presenting both the accused before the court. – Mukesh Pratap Singh, SP Crime
