Uttarakhand: In the Kedarnath temple gold dispute, the Congress demanded an inquiry by the judicial commission

Senior Uttarakhand Congress leader Manish Khanduri has returned from his eight-day tour of Garhwal. As soon as Manish returned, he started taking on the government. On Sunday, Manish Khanduri, while holding a press conference at the Dehradun Congress headquarters, raised many questions on the working style of the government regarding the layer of gold in the Kedarnath temple. He raised questions on the inquiry committee formed by Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj regarding the gold dispute planted in the sanctum sanctorum of Kedarnath temple and raised the demand for the investigation to be conducted under the chairmanship of the sitting judge. Manish said that the government has formed an inquiry committee to hide the theft.

The Congress leader said that the government should show transparency and tell what has happened in Kedarnath? Because this is the issue of the whole country. He alleged through newspaper cuttings published earlier that when he was misled in the past by saying 230 kg gold, at that time no BJP leader even denied it and looted applause, but now it is being said that in the sanctum sanctorum 23 kg gold was plated. Khanduri said that 230 kg gold has turned into 23 kg, this thing is beyond comprehension. Calling it a case of income tax evasion, he asked that the donor who donated gold to the Kedarnath temple, how much money did that donor get as rebate?

Demand for inquiry from judicial commission

Raising the demand, Manish Khanduri said that instead of the High Level Commission, the government should investigate the gold layer dispute in the Kedarnath temple sanctum sanctorum with a judicial commission. He said that during his visit to Garhwal, he also visited Chaubattakhal, the constituency of Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj. The Congress leader said, development works are stuck in Chaubattakhal. The people there are struggling with problems like road, water migration. He has urged the Tourism Minister to solve these problems soon.
