Six people, including two children, tragically died after a van fell into a river in northwestern Pakistan.
A horrific road accident has claimed many lives in the northwestern region of Pakistan. It is being told that a speeding van suddenly lost its control and fell into a river. This resulted in the death of six passengers in the van. While four other people were injured. Relief and rescue teams reached the spot as soon as the incident was reported. However, the local people were the first to help. All the injured have been taken to the nearest hospital.
A Pakistani rescue official said two children were among the dead. The driver of a passenger van going from Bisham to Kolai Palas in Kohistan district lost control of the vehicle at a dangerous curve on the hilly road. At least six people, including two children and a woman, were killed while four others were injured in the accident, a rescue official said. According to ‘ARY’ news, the injured were immediately taken to Patan hospital. Police is probing the cause of the accident. As per preliminary investigation, the accident happened due to over speeding of the vehicle. Taking cognizance of the accident, the caretaker chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Mohammad Azam Khan, asked the authorities to ensure proper treatment of the injured. (Language)
