In Chhattisgarh’s Gorela-Pendra-Marwahi (GPM) district, a young man’s life has come under threat after a dispute with his wife. Husband consumed poisonous substance to commit suicide in anger after a quarrel. Seeing his health deteriorating, the wife gave him kerosene kept in the house. Husband’s condition worsened on this. He was hurriedly taken to the district hospital by ambulance. Where his condition remains critical. The wife says that kerosene was given to the husband to save his life. The matter belongs to Gorela police station area.
When asked for help in repairing the roof, he started fighting
According to information, Itwaru Gond, a resident of Nadiatola in Devargaon, lives with his wife Aruna. Due to the arrival of monsoon, on Tuesday his elder brother was fixing thatch. On this Aruna told him that elder brother is fixing the roof of the house. You also work with them. It has started raining. Itwaru refused on this. There was a dispute between husband and wife regarding this matter. When the matter escalated, Itwaru left the house. When he returned after a while, his health started deteriorating.
Wife said – Vomited, so kerosene was given
When Aruna asked her husband, Itwaru told that she had eaten the poisonous root of munga in anger. Aruna got scared on hearing this. He gave kerosene to Itwaru. This made his health worse. After this, the relatives informed 108 and reached the district hospital by ambulance. Itwaru’s health remains critical. Wife Aruna says that her husband tried to commit suicide in a minor dispute. He gave kerosene to save his life that he would vomit and the poison would come out.
