PM Modi raised the issue of UCC, All India Muslim Personal Law Board called a meeting
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has blown the election bugle by mentioning Uniform Civil Code from Bhopal. After this statement of the PM, the All India Muslim Personal Law Board called a meeting. The meeting called by AIMPLB late at night lasted for about three hours. In this the legal aspects of the Uniform Civil Code were discussed.
In this meeting, the lawyers associated with the Muslim Personal Law Board kept the points. Apart from this, it was decided in this meeting that AIMPLB will prepare a complete draft. Regarding this, the senior people associated with the board will ask for an appointment with the chairman of the Law Commission and submit their draft to the commission.
According to the information, the board will include essential parts of Shariat in its draft. The Board will appeal to the Law Commission that keeping this draft in mind, a draft of the Uniform Civil Code should be prepared. Along with this, the statement of PM Modi was also discussed in the meeting.
What did PM Modi say about UCC?
Addressing the booth conference program in Bhopal, PM Modi said about UCC, “Muslims of India have to understand which political parties are instigating them. Nowadays they are provoking in the name of UCC. If there is one law for one member in a house and another for the other, will the house be able to run? So how will the country be able to run with such a dual system? These people accuse us. If he was a true well wisher of the Muslims, then the Muslims would not have remained behind. The Supreme Court is repeatedly saying to bring Uniform Civil Code but these vote bank hungry people do not want to do so.
What did the PM say about triple talaq?
PM Modi said, if triple talaq was related to Islam, no Muslim country would have banned it. Egypt had abolished it 90 years ago. If it was related to Islam then why would Islamic countries end it. Why was it banned in countries like Qatar, Jordan, Indonesia. By hanging the noose of triple talaq, some people want a free hand to torture Muslim sisters.
Modi also spoke about Pasmanda Muslims
PM Modi said that there was discrimination against Pasmanda Muslims. There is no one to listen to the voices of the Pasmanda Muslim brothers and sisters. If the people of his religion had done any good, this would not have happened. Even today they do not get visa. They are not backward. Many generations had to bear the loss of the discrimination against Pasmanda Muslims, but the BJP government is working for everyone’s support, everyone’s development. He said that the parties which are opposing the UCC are not friendly to the Muslims. Pasmanda Muslims are backward because of these parties.
