SAFF Championship: Indian football team’s problems increased before semi-final match, coach banned for two matches
The Indian football team continues to excel in the SAFF Championship 2023. Under the leadership of Sunil Chhetri, the team has made its way to the semi-finals by showing the best game. However, ahead of the semi-final match against Lebanon, a bad news has emerged for the team. Actually, Indian team coach Igor Stimac has been banned for two matches. That is, the Indian team will enter the field without a coach in the semi-finals.
Coach banned for two matches
Indian football team coach Igor Stimac was seen arguing with the match officials in the match played against Kuwait, due to which he was shown a red card. Due to getting the red card, Stimac has been banned for two matches. In the last group match against Kuwait, the Indian team played a 1-1 draw.
Red card was also received against Pakistan
Igor Stimac was also given a red card in the matches played against India and Pakistan. The Indian coach was seen arguing with the match officials in that match as well. However, no strict action was taken against Stimac in that bout. The Indian coach has been fined $500 along with a two-match ban.
Lebanon in the semi-finals
