Uttarakhand: No hatred, employment, goodwill, rule of law is needed – opposition parties and people’s organizations of the state raised their voice, announced agitation across the state

Today, on July 2, Sadbhavna Sammelan was organized at Buddha Park in Haldwani by various people’s organisations, political parties and people associated with public issues of Uttarakhand to maintain national unity in the state. People’s organizations with representatives of Congress, Uttarakhand Parivartan Party, CPI, CPI(M), CPI(ML), AAP and other parties with slogans “Don’t hate, give employment”, “Save Constitution, save democracy,” and other Representatives and hundreds of common people gathered. Condemning the continuous targeting of innocent people on the basis of religion by criminal means in the state and increasing atrocities on the minority and Dalit community, the participants said that the government should restore the rule of law in the state and implement policies of public interest, such as employment Work on schemes, forest rights law, etc. Congress state president Karan Mahara said that from the Joshimath tragedy to the Ankita murder case, all sections of the state are vulnerable. But the government is only spreading hate and communal propaganda. CPI(ML) state secretary Indresh Mekhuri said that crimes are being given a communal color by using terms like “love jihad” and “land jihad”, while there is no evidence or data for these; And many such incidents have also been proved to be false. Uttarakhand Lok Vahini President Rajeev Lochan Sah said that this hatred has never existed in the history and culture of the state, which is being spread on the basis of lies these days. Uttarakhand Parivartan Party President PC Tiwari said that religious discrimination is constantly being seen in the steps of the government, through which efforts are being made to create such an environment where the government can sell all the resources of the state to the big capitalists.

In the conference, the organizers decided that taking this process forward, on the occasion of Sridev Suman’s martyrdom day, on July 25, representatives of various organizations will celebrate Republic Day with common citizens in his village Jaul. Similar programs will be organized across the state on that day. Then on August 9, the anniversary of the Quit India movement, a program will be organized on these issues in Dehradun and voices will be raised across the state. Meanwhile, a signature campaign will also be launched across the state on the issue of employment and not hatred.
