Uttarakhand: Police traffic plan issued regarding Kanwar fair, know the route of vehicles going towards Najibabad and Kumaon, and complete plan of diversion

Police has issued a traffic plan for the Kanwar fair. SSP Ajay Singh said that due to heavy traffic in Haridwar, all the vehicles coming from Delhi-Meerut will be diverted to Haridwar via Nangla Imarti Service Lane NH 334 via Landaura Laksar. All vehicles going towards Najibabad and Kumaon will be diverted from Vilaspur Tiraha and sent to Najibabad-Kumaon areas via Mirapur-Bijnor.

This will be the traffic plan:

  • Vehicles going from Punjab-Saharanpur to Haridwar will be diverted to Haridwar via Bhagwanpur NH-344 via Bijauli Abdul Kalam Chowk – Nangla Imarti Service Lane, Landaura, Laksar. All vehicles going towards Dehradun and hilly areas will be diverted from Rampur Tiraha, Muzaffarnagar UP and sent to Dehradun and hilly areas via Deoband-Gagalhedi Mohand.
  • All vehicles going towards Najibabad and Kumaon will be diverted from Vilaspur Tiraha and sent to Najibabad-Kumaon areas via Mirapur-Bijnor. On normal days, all vehicles going towards Najibabad and Kumaon will be diverted to Najibabad-Kumaon areas via Nangla Imarti service lane NH 334 via Ladhoura Laksar-Balawali to Bijnor.
  • All vehicles going from Delhi Meerut Muzaffarnagar to Dehradun will be sent to Dehradun and hilly areas via Mandawar Mohand via Bijauli Service Lane Abdul Kalam Chowk-Bhagwanpur NH-344.
  • SP Traffic Rekha Yadav said that till July 8, except for the vehicles used in essential services, the entry of all heavy vehicles in the city will be completely banned from 00 am to 11 pm. From July 9 to July 17, the entry of all heavy vehicles except those used in essential services will be strictly prohibited in the city.
  • Till July 7, all the vehicles will run normally on the pre-decided route only. From July 8 to July 15, all small/big vehicles coming to the Kanwar fair will be diverted to parking places. From July 8, all the small and big vehicles entering from the district border towards Haridwar city will be diverted through alternative routes.
