Uttarakhand: Chief Secretary reviewed the reconstruction works of Kedarnath, gave instructions to work fast to complete the work on time

Chief Secretary Dr. S.S. Sandhu reviewed the Kedarnath reconstruction works at the Secretariat on Tuesday. The Chief Secretary instructed the officers to complete all the works within the prescribed time limit. The Chief Secretary said that arrangements for maximum number of laborers should be ensured for the work to be completed on time. Work should also be done in night shift. Availability of construction material should also be ensured. The Chief Secretary instructed the Forest Department and the Public Works Department to work together expeditiously for the early construction of the alternative track route. The Chief Secretary also directed to prepare the master plan of Lincholi soon. He said that a weekly time limit should be set so that all the works can be completed on time. Along with Kedarnath, he instructed to start the process soon to buy equipment etc. for the hospitals being built in Badrinath.

It was informed during the meeting that the work of Sangam Ghat would be completed by August 18. Along with this, the work of elevated bridge will be completed by December 31. It was told that the civic amenity building would be completed by November 30.

OSD Bhaskar Khulbe, Principal Secretary R.K. Sudhanshu, Secretary Sachin Kurve and Dr. Pankaj Kumar Pandey along with other officers were present.
