Uttarakhand: UCC will be implemented in the state soon! Chouhan said – Positive discussion of the state’s UCC draft across the country increased the respect of the state

The BJP has described the discussion on the UCC law of Uttarakhand in many other states including the Center as a proud achievement and an equal enhancer of the state. On the other hand, the positive and encouraging responses being received across the country on the UCC Act gave a befitting reply to those who questioned the draft process.
Party state media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan issued a statement saying that the way the steps taken towards the implementation of UCC of Devbhoomi under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami were followed by many states including Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and now the central government and the state government. After talking to the draft committee, a country is moving in the direction of uniform law, it is a matter of great pride for every Uttarakhand resident. Because this law is the resolution of the party on which the people of the state had given their blessings during the elections.
Accusing Chouhan, the Congress and some other parties are raising questions on the draft process and objectives of this law due to political reasons. Those who are spreading the illusion of not taking discussion and suggestions from the general public, tribal society, all religions and communities and all the stakeholders of the state, they should know that the committee has prepared this draft on the basis of 206 meetings and 2 lakh 31 thousand suggestions. Have done In which the committee itself has met more than 20 thousand people. In addition to 63 meetings, the committee had also constituted a sub-committee to invite written submissions, organize public dialogue programs and get public opinion. The committee started its public outreach program from the border tribal village Mana and held a total of 143 meetings, visiting 40 different places covering all the districts of the state. The sub-committee also included the views of migrant Uttarakhandis in a public discussion held on June 14 in Delhi.
The committee also interacted with representatives of political parties, state statutory commissions as well as leaders of various religious sects. Besides this the committee has tried to understand the nuances of various traditional practices prevalent in different parts of the state. Along with this, discussions were also held with the Chairman of the Law Commission of India and the members of the Expert Committee on 2nd June. Not only this, various laws and uncodified laws including legal framework have been looked into in selected countries.
Challenging the Congress, Chouhan said that he could not even imagine the scale and detailed manner in which the committee has prepared the draft of the UCC. The result of the credibility and expertise of the draft prepared on the instructions of CM Dhami is that its acceptance across the country has increased the respect of the state.
