In the name of getting a job in Saudi Arabia, he cheated a young man living in Majra Khaprail’s mill of Sikampur Pandey Gram Panchayat of Mundapande area. One brother had already fled abroad after taking the cheated amount. Another brother sent him to Saudi Arabia, but did not get him a job. After spending the money, the victim had to somehow fill his stomach by begging. The Mundapande police have registered an FIR against the accused in the case on charges of cheating, assault and threatening.
Ismail, a resident of Majra Khaprail village of Sikampur Pandey village of Mundapande area, told that in August 2022, he had met Zahid and his brother Rehmat, residents of Ataria village in Bhojpur. Both assured him of getting a job in Saudi. Asked for two lakh rupees for this. He sold the jewelry and gave Rs 75,000 to Rahmat. After taking the money, Rahmat said that I am going to Saudi Arabia, you arrange for the rest of the money, my brother Zahid will send you to Saudi Arabia. After this, Zahid took Rs 12,000 in the name of getting the papers ready by taking him to Bareilly. After two months, he also gave 1.25 lakh rupees to Zahid. Sent him to Saudi Arabia on November 3, 2022. But Rahmat did not get him any work.
According to Ismail there he had to feed by begging. It is alleged that in Saudi itself, Rahmat abused and assaulted him. Somehow he contacted his family members, they made arrangements and he could return home on January 25.
After coming home, Ismail went to the accused Zahid’s house and he assured to return the money within 15 days. Somehow he returned forty rupees once and then eight thousand rupees. On June 6, when I went to him again, he abused me and threatened to kill me.
When the police did not take action, an application was filed in the court of the judicial magistrate, from where the FIR was ordered. Police Station President Moondhapande Deepak Malik said that an FIR has been registered against Zahid and his brother Rehmat.
