Uttarakhand: Bhatt said – Congress wants to pursue the policy of appeasement, it is possible to answer the concerns of the opposition regarding UCC in the House

Taking a dig at the Congress, the BJP said that their concerns regarding the UCC can be answered only in the discussion in the House. Targeting the Congress, State President Bhatt said that fearing the widespread public support the UCC is getting, the Congress wants to pursue its policy of appeasement under the guise of all these concerns. The state president said that the Congress, which has expressed concern about the reservation of stakeholders and different sections of the society, is just like pulling a pole by pulling away from the immense public support that UCC gets. Because the Draft Committee has already made it clear that hundreds of meetings have been held with all the stakeholders of the state, tribal society, community, sections. They don’t even have to worry about social and economic reservation. Uniform Civil Code is mainly being brought with a view to reinterpret property rights, matrimonial law, childless couple’s adoption, women’s rights and legal protection of various religious practices. The social and economic reservation given in jobs and other areas has nothing to do with this draft. Despite this, the Congress is working on a strategy to spread confusion on the UCC regarding this issue.

Bhatt said, the Congress is overwhelmed with the acceptance the UCC is getting across the country and the blessings of the people of the state. He challenged that instead of talking here and there, the Congress should directly bring its appeasement policy in front so that the public can clearly see its real intention. He said that Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami himself has said that after a few days the draft will come in the House and the legal details will be in front of everyone. He alleged that everyone knows that the form of one country uniform law will soon come to the fore, but Congress wants to take immediate advantage by once again spreading confusion about reservation for cheap politics.
