Yellow alert for rain in Uttarakhand till July 7, Chardham pilgrims advised to be cautious

Yellow alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department in Uttarakhand till July 7. While there is a forecast of partial drizzle from 8 to 14 July. According to the Meteorological Department, due to the weakening of the monsoon in the second and third week of July, the heat may increase. Monsoon has made a vigorous entry in the state. Almost all the areas of the state have received good rains. At present, till July 7, a yellow alert has been issued in the Meteorological Department. Due to which the weather experts have advised the pilgrims to be cautious during the Char Dham Yatra.

According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, the monsoon may weaken in the second and third week of July, due to which the temperature will increase. There is a possibility of good rain again in the last week of the month. Dr. Vikram Singh, director of the Meteorological Center, says that every year there is a situation of change in the monsoon. There is a possibility of moderate rain somewhere better than that. Monsoon is likely to weaken in July.

Today there is a possibility of heavy rain at some places in Dehradun, Tehri, Pauri, Bageshwar, Nainital, Chamoli and Champawat districts of the state. The Meteorological Department has appealed to the people to be careful and safe as there is a possibility of landslides and rock fall in sensitive areas due to heavy rains. The Meteorological Department has also given forecast of lightning at some places.
