Uttarakhand: Dhami’s strong attack on corruption, Amit Jain, who was the Chief Finance Officer of Ayurveda University, suspended, was signing the check in back date
Amit Jain, who was the chief finance officer of Ayurveda University, has been suspended. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami gave instructions to suspend Jain, after which the Finance Department has issued orders.
About a week ago, orders were issued to remove Amit Jain from the Ayurveda University as well as from the Municipal Corporation, and Jain was attached to the Finance Directorate. Then there was a complaint that he is currently signing on the back date in Ayurveda University and on the basis of this complaint, he has now been suspended after the instructions of the Chief Minister.
Several cases related to financial irregularities in Ayurveda University are already under investigation. Amit Jain has also been accused in this case. Vigilance is investigating this matter. The government had ordered a vigilance inquiry into it. Vigilance will also interrogate Amit Jain and before that the government has taken major action against him.
Let us tell you that, the Uttarakhand University Employees Federation had also given a written complaint to the Additional Chief Secretary Finance and asked to remove Amit Jain from here and send him to some other place and correspondence was also happening continuously regarding his transfer. Jain also had the additional charge of Senior Financial Officer in Municipal Corporation Dehradun. Along with this, in the beginning of the year 2023 itself, the government had posted Jain as Senior Treasury Officer in Rudraprayag district.
The surprising thing is that even after this Jain University was not being relieved from the post of Chief Financial Officer. Therefore, on the special instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Jain has been removed from all posts and attached to Treasury Directorate. At the same time, earlier on June 28, the responsibility of Chief Finance Officer in Municipal Corporation and Ayurvedic University was withdrawn from Amit Jain. After being removed from these responsibilities, Amit Jain was attached to the Treasury Pension and Entitlement Directorate.
On the other hand, the High Court has already removed Vice Chancellor of Ayurveda University, Sunil Joshi. After the order of the High Court, now a search committee has been formed for the appointment of a new Vice Chancellor in Ayurveda University. Although no official letter related to the removal of Sunil Joshi has been issued at the government level, but the process has been started for the appointment of a new Vice-Chancellor as per the order of the High Court. It is believed that Ayurveda University will soon get a new Vice-Chancellor.
