Uttarakhand: Draft of UCC is ready, Dhami government can make law soon, know what will be the provisions

In Uttarakhand, the committee constituted on Uniform Civil Code ie Uniform Civil Code (UCC) has prepared its draft for UCC. The committee has taken more than 13 months to complete the process, including meetings, consultations, field visits and interactions with experts and the public. Meanwhile, according to the sources, the big news is that the committee can hand over the draft of UCC to the Uttarakhand government by the middle of July. It is being told that after this it can take the form of law at any time.

It is being claimed that the committee has held talks with all sections, religions, political parties of the state before preparing its report. It is also claimed that the committee has received more than 20 lakh suggestions on the Uniform Civil Code. According to the committee, at least 143 meetings were held to prepare the final report on the Uniform Civil Code. The committee says that it has talked to every group in every district of the state to prepare the report and everyone’s views have been included in the report.

According to sources, there can be many special things in it. The age of girls can be increased for marriage. This can be done to encourage them to graduate before marriage. Registration of marriage will be mandatory for all and without registration the benefit of the government scheme will not be available. Marriage registration facility will be provided up to the village level.
