Why was beauty parlor banned in Afghanistan? Taliban gave this strange argument…!

Taliban has banned beauty salons in Afghanistan. That means any woman can neither do this business nor can go to any beauty parlor and beautify herself. However, the Taliban has broken the silence on the uproar regarding this and has given a strange logic behind it. Women’s beauty salons have been banned in Afghanistan because they provide services that are forbidden in Islam and cause economic hardship to the groom’s family during marriages, the Taliban has said.
This statement of the Taliban has come at a time when it had confirmed a few days back that it has given all such salons in the country a month’s time to wrap up their business and close shop. On this decree of Taliban, international officials have expressed concern about its effect on women entrepreneurs.
This is the latest decision to restrict the freedom and rights of Afghan women and girls. Prior to this, the Taliban has banned the education of women and girls, going to public places and most of the methods of employment. Sadiq Akif Mahzar, a spokesman for the Taliban-ruled Ministry of Religious Affairs’ Virtue and Vice, listed several such salons in a video clip released on Thursday.
Sadiq Akif Ahzar further said that shaping eyebrows, using makeup, using other people’s hair to enhance a woman’s natural hair, etc. are against Islam. He said that beauty salons cause financial problems for the groom’s family during marriage because here the groom’s family has to bear the expenses of the bride’s make-up.
