Uttarakhand: Highway will be opened for Dak Kanwar in Haridwar from July 11, SSP took stock of arrangements on foot march

Kanwar Mela 2023 is at its peak. In which lakhs of kanwariyas are leaving for their destinations despite heavy rains. Along with the pedestrian Kanwar, the vehicles of Dak Kanwar and DJ Kanwar have also started reaching Haridwar. Out of which several hundred vehicles have been parked on the highway instead of being parked in the parking lots. Due to which people are facing trouble. In such a situation, the SSP has taken out a foot march and removed the vehicles of Dak Kanwar parked on the highway.

Both sides of the highway will be opened for Dak Kanwar from July 11, so Haridwar SSP has taken out a 10 kilometer march to remove vehicles parked on the roadside and asked to park the vehicles parked on the highway at the parking lot. Along with this, the officers on duty have also been instructed that no vehicle should be parked on the highway.

On Sunday, SSP Haridwar Ajay Singh came on the road for the arrangements of Kanwar going on amid heavy rains. He along with his team marched on foot from Jatwara Bridge to Toll Plaza Bahadarabad. During this, SSP Ajay Singh and the police force accompanying him removed the vehicles standing on the highway and made the Kanwaris aware about using the service lane for rest, so that any kind of accident can be avoided.
