Uttarakhand: Chairman of the Central Board of Film Certification Prasoon Joshi met CM Dhami, other artists of the state were also present, Dhami honored
Chairman of the Central Board of Film Certification and renowned lyricist Prasoon Joshi called on Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at the Chief Minister’s camp office on Monday. Sudeep Pandey, Shalini Shah, Praveen Kala, Amit Joshi, Rajesh Shah, Varun Dhaudiyal and Gaurav, associated with art and literature, also met on this occasion. The Chief Minister also honored all the artists.
Chairman of the Central Board of Film Certification and noted lyricist Prasoon Joshi thanked the Chief Minister for starting a cultural center in Dehradun. He said that the trend of filmmakers towards filming in Uttarakhand has increased rapidly. He also suggested to build a cultural center as well as a research center here. Literature festivals and workshops can also be organized in this cultural center. He said that efforts will have to be made to take various stories based on Uttarakhand and its art and culture to the international level. The artists also suggested giving subsidy for web series in the state, which would increase the attraction of people associated with the film industry here.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the natural beauty of Uttarakhand is attracting filmmakers to visit Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. Every possible cooperation will be given by the state government for filming in the state. Whatever suggestions are received from people associated with the film world, those suggestions are taken very seriously.
